Singapore!

We have never been to Singapore before, so everything has been a new discovery and experience. We have a great hotel with a view of the Marina Bay Sands (MBS). On our first night we went to Boat Quay for drinks and sat next to two Geordie girls, Sharon and Layla. Sue had them chatting within a couple of minutes and boy could they chat! They were travelling the world and seemed to be having a great time and we found them very entertaining. At about 1:00am we hugged and said our farewells. Wednesday we did the Bumboat tour of the quay's and marina, which was very enjoyable. The guide explained in Singapore there are only two punishments, hanging and canning, so we were on our best behaviour throughout. In the evening we went to see the lightshow in the Garden on the Bay and the MBS water jets and light show, which currently is dedicated to Taylor Swift who is on the Eras Tour at the MBS. Both shows were moving and very spectacular and I've posted a couple of clips.
We have been on a trip to the Botanical Gardens, mainly to see the Orchids, which were stunning.

On getting ready to visit the Sky Deck at the MBS for a Sunset Event, we could see from our hotel window the whole hotel disappear into a storm cloud, shortly followed by a tropical down pour.
This changed our evening completely as I explain in the clip below.
We have Friday and some of Saturday remaining in Singapore. It seems very exciting to think what will happen next!
Thanks for following,
Sue and Trev xx

Just enjoying the start of your journey retrospectively (my grasp of time seems to be increasingly poor!) and it is so lovely to see you both smiling and laughing; sounds like it was an incredible start to the tour! :) James
I stayed in the Marina Bay Sands towards the top of the middle tower. As the towers curve outwards when you look out the window it was like there was nothing below you. Did you do the 'treetop' walk in the 'trees' where you saw the light show? Sorry to be so slow in commenting. In India I had rubbish wifi and it's been madness since I got home. Angus
Totally bizarre. Snuggled up in a gondola in a shopping mall amidst a severe tropical storm. Can it get more crazy. You wanted something completely different on this holiday - well, it looks like you are getting your wish! Enjoy.
