The Great Ocean Road

We have had two days on the Great Ocean Road. We travelled from Geelong to Port Campbell and stayed at a lovely AirBnB.

Obviously, everyone has to have the obligatory picture at the start of the Great Ocean Road, and we were no exception.

Our AirBnB was located within easy reach of most of the main tourist attractions, which we went out to see.

We walked from the 12 Apostles to Gibson's Steps, but the signing was a bit worrying.

Then it got even worse.

We spent all our time looking down at the path, and didn't see much of the scenery!
On our trip back to Geelong, we visited the Otway Sky Tree Walk. A beautiful walkway through the rainforest canopy. However, when you are on a platform 100 metres above ground level which is actually swaying enough to give a life-long sailor sea sickness, I began to have second thoughts.

On our drive back we stopped at the Kennet River. Obviously, that's not the one in Berkshire, it is however a good spot to see Koalas. We found one, but he wasn't that interested in us.

We arrived back in Geelong on the evening of 10th April. A particularly special day for me and we had a lovely meal with Sue and Wayne before saying good bye and heading back to Melbourne.

In giving us a final farewell, it was announced that we have now been formally adopted, and we had the certificate to prove it.

Back to Melbourne to pick up the camper van and then we are all heading to Wilsons Promontory.
See you all there.
Lots of love,
Sue & Trev xxx

That apron better be making its way to the UK! Lovely scenery again, and - by the sound of it - not too many snakes encountered! -James
