We have had such a great time. So many lovely people and we are related to all of them! Sue often says I am an only child and only have one cousin in the world, so is currently having to reassess her position. Of my 17 cousins, 13 live in Australia, then we have two generations of off-spring going on beneath cousins. Sue now knows that her family is actually monumental.

On arrival Sue (Cousin) prepared a wonderful meal for us and other family joined us too. What a wonderful first evening. Our first outing was to see Wallabies, Emus and a Kangaroos.

That evening Dave (brother) treated everyone to an Italian meal. We also dropped into the celebration that it was our 44th Wedding Anniversary. Best 44 years of my life, maybe Sue has her own opinion!

Sue and Wayne very kindly put us up for our time a Geelong. Wayne and I hit it off and I had the opportunity to talk to him about my career in Parking. I could tell he was absolutely fascinated.

Wayne is an IT expert, so I also explained about the IT systems we used in Parking and I could see he also found this fascinating. He obviously understood everything, because he didn't ask any questions. He just very quietly contemplated every word.

My cousin does "Boogy Boarding", that's body boarding for everyone in the UK. I said I would like to do that with her, and at 7am the next morning I am being driven to the ocean to be eaten by sharks. We had such a great time. Jenny, another of my cousins joined us. Sue was happy to observe, but had no intention of being the main course for a Great White .

All still smiling, but we hadn't entered the water yet!

If Boogy Boarding was an Olympic Sport, that's a Gold Silver and Bronze medal right there!

Daniel Craig leaves the water!

Cousin Sue had organised a family BBQ for Saturday lunch. As the crowd gathered we became aquatinted with more and more family. It was just such a joyous occasion.

On Sunday, 12 of us went swimming with dolphins, This was another memorable occasion. Dolphins put in a very brief appearance, but seals and rays made up for that.

During our stay, we visited my Auntie Audrey, cousin Sue’s Mum, who had just had a hip replacement operation. Audrey was doing really well.

Our time catching up with family has been so special. Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. We are truly blessed to have such great relations and are sad they are all located on the other side of the world.

Here’s to next time everyone.

With all our love and best wishes,

Sue and Trev xx

Amazing photos and so lovely to see the family! I think I've changed a fair old bit since the last time they've seen me over there, but then again, I think that was 37 years ago! Love the blog and, like Andrea, had a good laugh reading it! :)

Lots of love to the Aussie Clarks - lovely to see you all well and lots of big smiles!
