We arrived in Melbourne to collect the Campervan. Unfortunately, the side door wouldn't open. They tried to fix it, but couldn't so ultimately they gave us a brand new van. This was great, but we were now behind schedule, which came to roost as we tried to reach our campsite. We entered Wilson's Promontory and the sign said Tidal River, but then the fine print said 30km. It was now dark, so we went slowly but we still had Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats and I don't know what else, smiling at us as we passed them by. Please don't move off the verge! You can not believe how relieved I was to get that 30k's finished and parked up, absolutely mentally exhausted.
We woke up to the most wonderful location. these guys said good morning.

We took a walk from the camp site to enjoy the scenery.

Wilson's Promontory, in terms of scenery, is really beyond words. I hope the pictures tell the story. Before leaving we stopped off at Squeaky Beach to see it up close, and we were not disappointed. It's called Squeaky Beach because the sand squeaks as you walk on it, and it actually does squeak!

Finally, as it was Sue's Birthday, the heavens conspired to create their own celebration.

And with the heavens saying good bye we drove off towards Lakes Entrance.
See you all there.
Lots of love, Sue & Trev xxxx

Is that colourful bird a gala?
